It would be a really great time to fire Girardi.
So seriously, as I have said, even if they loooove Drew, Refs is a RH hitter. In what universe does it make sense to not start v. LHP, and then, if the fool insists, be taken out for defensive purposes. Because Ryan is one of the worst players in MLB.
They seem to love those.
They just DFA'd Tyler Austin to make room on the 40. They also DFA'd Cole Figueroa and move Domingo German to the 60 day DL. Thus, they created 3 spots, but only needed on for Noel...
Sad about Tyler Austin, but for those injuries, what might have been.
Sad indeed, but the good news is that there are prospects who need Rule V protection who are more promising than Austin.
