Yanks: Severino Rusty In Return

Luis Severino pitched three innings in his return to action tonight.    He K'd three through the first two perfect innings.  Things bogged down in the third when he gave up a walk, and a homer, for two runs.  He was replaced by Lindgren in the 4th.   The homer jumped his AA ERA over 2, telling you just how good he had been before he was shutdown.

When the time comes, I hope they trust him, unlike now when they are trusting Capuano over Mutchell.

In spite of the rust and all, he still only gave up that 1 hit, 1 BB, and struck out 3.

Not bad after a layoff.

Lindgren only had 2 Ks. Slacker.

No it wasn't bad, but the homer made it look worse.

Lingren needs to pick it up.

Beltran sitting due to a sore elbow. Could they have handled him more poorly?

I say let Beltran have the elbow surgery already. Get him ready for a P/T DH and a P/T RF slot next year.

Beltran cost us a pick and a bunch of pool money. Horrible idea.

Can't wait to see what next year's set of band-aids will end up costing.
