Yanks Send Down Zoilo and Zealous

The Yanks have sent down Zoilo Almonte, after calling him up to platoon with Ichiro,  Weirdly now Martin Prado looks like he'll be in that roll, and, like Ichiro, he's been useless against RHP's too.   Wheeler was the other move.   How do we still have Ichiro?

Contract size matters (and rep in Ich's case). That is why I am extremely skeptical of the Prado trade.

They made it easy to walk away. I didn't want Byrd under any reasonable circumstance (partially, as with Prado, because of the contract), but if they were engaged in talks, I wonder what was offered.

If that's what the Phils wanted, I hope Cashman laughed out loud as he was hanging up the phone.

Prado will be OK.
